Color & prepress
Color management
For every brand manager who has opened a box and felt their stomach drop.
If you manage a brand, you have a version of this story: the proof looked right, the reorder came back wrong, and the vendor said something soothing about "how vinyl takes ink." Color management is how we make that story stop happening. Not as marketing language, but as a measured, verified process that runs on every job.
Every substrate we print on carries its own ICC profile, built by measuring how that exact material renders color on our equipment. Your brand colors are declared once, as named Pantone spots or measured target values, and every subsequent order is reproduced and verified against those targets using Delta E 2000, the industry-standard measure of how far a printed color sits from its target. The result is boring in the best way: the five-hundredth banner matches the first postcard.
What we do
Per-substrate ICC profiles
Each material is individually profiled, because 14pt uncoated and gloss vinyl do not render color the same way. Pretending they do is where color drifts.
Delta E 2000 verification
Printed color is measured against your targets, not eyeballed. Tolerances are agreed for your program and checked with a spectrophotometer, not a squint.
Brand color library
Your palette, stored as measured targets with substrate-specific recipes. Reorders reference the library, so consistency does not depend on who ran the job.
True spot separations
Named Pantone colors run as real spot separations where the process calls for it, not silently converted to a CMYK approximation.
Preflight color checks
The Open Prepress check flags RGB elements, mismatched profiles, and undeclared spots before anything reaches a press.
Measured, not eyeballed
Printed color is read with a spectrophotometer and compared to your target as a Delta E 2000 number. The press is adjusted until the number is inside tolerance — then the reading is kept, so the reorder hits the same mark.

Frequently asked questions
Can you match our exact brand color?
Yes. Declare it as a named Pantone or give us a measured target, and we reproduce it per substrate and verify the result with Delta E 2000 measurement. On some materials a color has a physical gamut limit; if yours is near one, we tell you before printing, not after.
What is Delta E and why should I care?
Delta E 2000 is the standard measure of the difference between a printed color and its target. Roughly, a Delta E of 1 is at the threshold of what a trained eye can see. It turns "looks close enough" into a number you can hold a vendor to. We measure it; most printers do not.
Why did my last printer’s reorder come back a different color?
Usually because nothing was measured: the first run was approved by eye, the reorder ran on a different day, press state drifted, and there was no target to return to. A managed color library with measured targets is specifically the fix for this.
Will my colors match across different products and materials?
As closely as physics allows. That is exactly what per-substrate profiling is for. Uncoated paper will always render softer than gloss vinyl, but with both profiled to the same targets the family resemblance is unmistakable instead of accidental.
