Rocket X Trail: launch seeding kits

A seeding kit has one job: make the person opening it post it. The crate is the campaign shot, so every printed piece had to survive shipping and land photo-ready.

HOKA Rocket X Trail Gravel Rush launch kit: printed belly band and Fly Human Fly webbing straps on a latching crate

The challenge

For the Rocket X Trail launch, HOKA seeded the shoe in "Gravel Rush" kits, and seeding kits are judged in the first five seconds on camera. The build had to read as brand from across the room: through the clear lid, before the straps come off, before the box is even open.

It also had to survive the courier leg. A belly band with crushed corners or a scuffed strap is the difference between an unboxing post and a quiet return.

What we built

A printed belly band spec’d to wrap a latching translucent crate edge-to-edge in campaign yellow, carrying the Rocket X Trail spec panel like a flight card.

Custom "FLY HUMAN FLY · REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" webbing straps cinching the crate, and interior print pieces arranged to read through the clear lid.

The logistics

Every kit was packed so the first thing a recipient sees is brand, not dunnage, and banded so the print survives the courier without corner crush. The kit ships as the finished object; nothing gets assembled on arrival.

The result

The kits photographed the way seeding kits need to, and the format did its job in feeds when the shoe dropped.
